Stove shifts are (almost) over

The Koinonia house has no furnace, therefore a big chunk of our activities are around keeping the wood stove going.
We normally start our first fire in October that's also when I have seen the first snow of the winter, but it really depends on the weather. This winter was a very long and cold one, which meant a constant wood burning.
We all had to take shifts to feed the piggy for almost 6 months! But it's not over, now we need to get more wood for next winter, since we almost used all of it.

During the next 6 months, we need to find, haul, cut, split and store enough wood for the whole winter.

Now our next shifts will be around keeping the seedlings in the greenhouse alive.

The K-House will be 25 in December

*House members after a long day of gardening last summer.

That's right. It will be a full quarter-century of K-House this coming December, so we decided (by consensus, just like all house decisions) that we wanted to document some of the history and goings on of the house. As of now we've just started, but there's much more to come!
